Ms. Topps received a Bachelors in Education and a Masters in Administration and Supervision from Southern University. She served as the assistant principal of Amite Elementary since 2004.
Prior to becoming the assistant principal, she taught fourth grade.

Due to the approaching severe weather and the significant threat of damaging winds, tornadoes, large hail, and flash flooding, all Tangipahoa Parish schools and offices will be closed on Wednesday, September 11, and Thursday, September 12.
All after-school activities are canceled after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
